God’s patient love...

When we think of how inconsistently we love God and others we have to reminisce on how God patiently waits for us to return true love and acceptance to Him. His patience is simultaneously rewarding and astonishing; especially when we spend countless years avoiding His truth and faithfulness. The patience of God's love delicately seeks us out and draws us to come willingly!
Why do we choose God with our mouths' but become
inconsistent with our hearts' promises?
Our obedience to God is connected to our love towards Him. If we're going to be honest, our failure to be consistent in God is related to our need to gravitate to sinful behavior; therefore, loving who we were more than falling in love with the person that God desires us to be.
I'm in awe of God's patience and love towards mankind. His ability to see past our sin-state is a reflection of His passionate love, kindness and longsuffering. We fall short because we're not able to see ourselves the way God sees us. I want to see myself through the eyes of God. When we understand our worth, sin becomes invaluable and senseless! Our greatest accomplishments are not what we achieve outwardly. Our greatest accomplishments are when we empower ourselves to heal from emotional wounds. It's hard to see God's love through emotional baggage. God is the Healer and giver of life.
You will show me the path of life; In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasure forevermore! Psalms 16:11 NKJV
Where would we be if He never waited for us to see life clearer?
Ultimately, it's our choice to receive Him! It's our choice to love Him more than we love our sin nature. As I write this, I see God's hand extended..., patiently waiting for us to travel along side of Him. He's waiting for me..., He's waiting for you to receive Him in the fullness of His love. God is forever wooing us to come!
His ability to see past our sin-state is a reflection of His passionate love, kindness and longsuffering. We fall short because we're not able to see ourselves the way God sees us. The bible talks about the protocol son (Luke 15:11-32), he was in his lowest state, eating with the pigs. Then one day, he came to himself. God revealed to him his sin-state. At that moment he refuse to settle in his current state!
Prayer Confession:
My prayer is that God will open our eyes and cause us to come to ourselves, just like the protocol son. God find us in our valley moments and lead us out of our bondage. Teach us who we are! Reveal to us who we are. Help us to see ourselves through your eyes! Woo us until we come! God call us by name until we come and journey along side of you!
