Refuse to allow life circumstances to silence you!

One of the greatest tactics of the enemy is to silence mankind. What we see in the natural can often become overwhelming. The weight of our circumstance can become the focus of our speech! We must master the power of our senses and separate natural human reality from Gods reality. It is true, seeing is believing. You ever have a vision of a thing that you don’t currently possess; yet you believe you will receive it. Faith is training our natural sight to take second, while allowing our spiritual sight to lead and guide us in faith. Whew! That’s a challenge! “Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.” Proverbs 18:20-21 MSG

Satan's agenda in the earth.

We understand Satan has an agenda in the earth; to kill, steal and destroy. Understanding his agenda and having a strategy to counter his plans of bondage are two totally different things. We often discuss and place our focus on how Satan has destroyed us or stolen things in our lineage; if your focus or your discussion is on the negatives of life it’s a clue that you are in a state of stagnation. Though the circumstances that we endured has manifested a natural reality, we cannot allow this “natural reality” to become a dwelling place. Oppression, depression, pain, deep hurt, grief and unfortunate situation are indeed tangible to the flesh and mind. Not to mention they damage our soul and often leave a wound.

Why do Satan benefit from his agenda?

Satan wants to kill your purpose, steal your authority, and destroy your identity in the earth. So what do he gain from this? Why has this become his driving force in the earth against mankind? Simple; his purpose to kill, steal and destroy mankind is his final judgment! The very thing that he wants to inflict on mankind is his final destiny. Understand this, Satan is death and is the sum of all diseases and infirmities. When God ordered him out of heaven his authority and position was stripped. So he lurks amongst believers and unsaved people to steal their authority to function in the earth in authority. As we indulge in sinful behavior and sinful thoughts he gains access to your authority! Satan desires to destroy your identity in the earth by masking himself through our gifts, talents and callings. We have a mission in the earth to subdue the land and to take dominion and we do this by the calling God has embedded in each of us before we were born. We are to walk out the calling that was predestined and ordained in heaven for our life in the earth.

Just as Christ took dominion in the earth and we are to do the same! God took Satan's identity in the heavens and he will never be identified as beautiful, worship or glorious in Gods light. So he wants to destroy the identity that God has given us by influencing us to use our talents, gifting and calling to enhance his agenda! Think of the many artistic and creative people in the earth, how their voice and their abilities soar in the earth, yet they do not allow Gods kingdom to be established in the earth through their identity! They use their gifts, talents and calling to promote sin while leading many people into lustful thoughts and sinful behaviors. Satan has destroyed the true purpose of how God intended their identity to function in the earth. Because he has no identity he high-jacks mankind’s and uses it to establish himself in the earth. Christ took the keys of life and death and gave us the choice to subdue. I say choice because God never forces himself on mankind, in all actuality you will judge yourself by the choices you have made in the earth. Because Satan has no authority over life and death he attempts to influence mankind with fleshy desires and perverts mankind’s identity.

Your Purpose in the Earth.

I encourage you to take some time to read Matthew 4:1-11. You will see how Satan tempted Christ with the three things mankind needs in the earth to survive. First, Satan tempted Christ commitment to his purpose by his ability to overcome the desires of his flesh. “Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” Matthew 4:3 NKJV. Satan knows if we cannot withstand basic flesh temptation he can gain access to our purpose. Although Christ was indeed hungry in the flesh he understood that he had to resist the things that would entice his fleshy desires to remain in his purpose. We can correlate Christ desire for food to the things we desire in the earth. Sex out of wedlock (fornication/adultery) and perverted desires (homosexuality/molestation/rape). These are some of the things that satisfies our flesh and we often allow these desires to overcome us as we surrender to them. Christ countered with his confession. “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”Matthew 4:4 NKJV. Christ was not defined by what his flesh wanted at that moment, he made it known by his confession of truth that although he may need food at this moment; he is not driven/controlled by what his flesh desired at this moment. We must weigh our desires out by what God has called us to do and resist all flesh and emotional temptation. Every thought that leads to an imagination of sinful flesh desires we must redirect them with repentance and the word of truth. Satan's second attempt was to gain access to Christ authority in the earth “and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Matthew 4:6 NKJV.

Look closely into this passage as Satan acknowledges that we have authority in the earth as he use the scriptures to entice Christ out of his position. How many times have you heard; “only God can judge me” or “judge not least you be judged” Or maybe this; “God knows my struggles and his mercy endures forever”. Using the word of God to justify flesh desires and sin nature without having to come into submission to the word of truth. Just because we have free will to do a thing does not mean it’s in alignment with Gods word. We cannot allow Satan to tempt us to use our free will authority to act outside of Gods alignment. You might ask; what if we don’t know what’s right? It’s your responsibility to learn Gods truth, ignorance of a thing does not excuse your sin behavior! Christ responded to Satans attempt to impinge on His earthly authority by closing the door and not allowing Satan to influence him based on an his immediate need; “Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.” Matthew 4:7 NKJV. Don’t make haste decisions during temporary situation.

Lastly, Satan made another attempt to pervert or destroy Christ’s identity in the earth by enticing him with the things of the world. “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” The dictionary defines identity as: who a person is, or the qualities of a person or group that make them different from others. Our true identity originates from God! We are made in His image and his similitude. Our obedience to Christ makes us different from others. Satan wants mankind to surrender to loose-fleshly desires, anything goes! You ever heard of selling your soul to the devil for earthly gain? Individuals will lay down all qualities of truth that resembles Christ characteristics to obtain a fleshly gain. As your identity fail to align with Christ identity one will develop a character that is no longer within the similitude of Christ but it will be aligned with Satans character and his identity. Therefore he takes your identity and turn it from its original intent to promote his agenda in the earth. He has destroyed the original purpose of your identity. As we see Christ stood with yet another confession of truth and remained intact; “Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”Matthew 4:8-11 NKJV. Christ remained in full control of His purpose, authority and identity in the earth!

Command, Declare and Decree!

All humans are born in sin and without salvation through Christ we will remain in sin. Thanks be to God we are redeemed through Christ by the Blood of His sacrifice. As believers we have to re-establish and redirect truth into our life and thought process. We have, at times, surrendered to the desires of our flesh and displayed Satans characteristics. We have given him access to our purpose, authority and identity! This is where we need to redirect our thoughts with our confessions! You often hear pastors or influential people state, take your identity and purpose back. Sounds real good, but how do we actually take it back? When we have been accustomed to living a certain way or living in a way that solely satisfies our own desires it become an inward battle to learn how to put on Christ. Or might I say, learning how to surrender our will to Christ. This comes by seeking out Gods truth through the word of God and understanding what avenues Satan generally takes to entice us with carnal desires. In that, we will be required to do what Christ did when approached by the enemy. We must resist the devil and stand in our authority, purpose and identity. This is done by our confession and our stance.

Take your Purpose, Authority and Identity Back!

When we surrender our talents and gifts unto God he will give us a greater understanding of our purpose. God will release all of the instructions and the functions of our purpose. Gifts and talents are given without repentance, meaning God gives them and will not take them away. We can function in the earth willfully under Gods direction or under Satans direction. Gods influence will edify the Kingdom of God and of course Satans influence will promote sin and his agenda of death. God will enrich your purpose, after all He is the giver of our gifts, talents and callings.

When it comes to taking authority in the earth, this aligns directly with your obedience. When Saul disobeyed God he lost his authority as king. God then appointed David as King! Sin strips us of our authority! We cannot and will never be able to function in kingdom authority in God while in sin! God honors our authority in the earth when we align ourselves with his word in obedience. When God rejected Saul as king God no longer honored Sauls authority in the earth! Your obedience to Gods truth gives you authority to rebuke the devil, command and decree in the earth in power! The heavens will back you up and the anointing will follow!

Lastly let’s deal with taking your identity back. Remember your identity is encompassed around your character and the qualities you display. You will have a greater understanding of your identity through your purpose! This is obtained by surrendering your gifts, talents and calling unto the Lord and as he enhances them he unfolds your identity in him and you will function out of your purpose! You will no longer need to search for what your good at or who you are because God will unfold it as you surrender your talents and gifting! Your identity is strengthened through the building of your character. God wants to ensure that you won’t be enticed by what the world offers, so your character will need developing. Your identity is what you stand for. When you look at a person you might identify them as being loyal, trustworthy, kind spirited and God fearing. Or you might identify someone as being evil, drug seeking, a sexual predator or unpredictable; all these traits are traits that are aligned with Satans identity. I would define this person as someone that has gotten their true identity stolen or high jacked by Satan. Allow God to process the ways of the world or flesh driven desires from your soul so you can withstand the fullness of your purpose and the strength of your identity with Gods authority backing you with His power and anointing! You will begin to see the confession of your mouth satisfy you in the earth!

Remember we cannot despise something (sin) if we are entangled in it. Nor can we command something to go if we are in agreement with it.

Prophetic Decree:

Today I declare that my confession has the ability to silence the enemy, change my destiny and re-route my purpose. My confession will become like deep waters, forever plentiful and fresh flowing like a river in the earth as I align myself in Gods truth! I release the abundance of God in my life and I bind all evil influences that comes to destroy me today. My purpose in the earth will be fulfilled!
