Invisible Scars of Life.

You ever look over your life and wonder how you made it out of a situation alive? Let alone emotionally sound! We can encounter things in life that can literally knock the wind out of us. But thanks be to God He delivers us from the hands of the enemy. “I said to the LORD: “You are my God; Hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.” Psalms 140:6-7 NKJV

Anytime you come out of a battle there’s a great chance you will be left to mend the wounds that came from the afflictions of war. Battle scars don’t always reflect a battle lose. Although they can definitely be a reminder that you were in a war. Not only can we come out with battle scars but we can have some casualties of war. Your casualty may have left you depressed, homeless, your car repossessed, loss of a job, death of a love one, relationship failure or divorce. All of these casualties can leave a scar in our soul.

Allowing God to mend the invisible scars.

We often walk around with invisible scars and pretend as if we are okay. Our soul will often suppress or replay the memories of what we have seen. The eyes are the window to the soul. “My eyes bring suffering to my soul…..” Lamentations 3:51 NKJV.

The aftermath of a battle brings stress to the soul. Anytime you go through something troublesome in life it is imperative that we seek inner healing. We need to mend the wounds of our afflictions. Walking around without seeking appropriate post-battle care can be detrimental to your future. Every new situation you approach will be filtered out through your pain. We may be unaware, but we will find ourselves in a state of stagnation. God wants us to embrace the mending process. Many times we run off to the next adventure or telling our testimony of how we came out without spending time in the mending room. The mending room gives us understanding of how we failed, succeeded or stumbled in war. God will give us understanding of what we have gained from going through a particular process. No matter what you have went through in life God will get the good out of it. This is why it is certain that we stop by the mending room and allow God to restore us; He will give us insight on the medals we gained for coming out. While showing us all open doors that we left open for the enemy to destroy us. When God reveals the motives and the steps of the enemy that was designed to trap us we will not be haunted by the memory of the tragedy or trauma we experienced. Mending of the soul gives us understanding therefore allows us to focus on a more positive confession. Ultimately renewing our mind with revelation knowledge of our process.

Understanding keeps us from circling the mountain of all the “why me” cries; which often lead to depression. Because we are so imperfect we can often make haste decisions that we suffer from later. In wisdom we become perfect in Him. “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” Colossians 1:28 NKJV

Imperfections Transformed in His Perfection.

Christ wants to transform our imperfections into his perfection. This comes by understanding. We fall into the same traps, because we don’t have understanding of how we landed in the trap. We get free from the trap, recover and proceed in the same direction that trapped us before. The enemy knows we did not obtain any strategy or recognize our weaknesses; therefore he position the same trap with a different approach. He is able to tempt us with our same desires because our thought process have not been renewed.

Allowing God to mend us gives us a greater chance of withstanding the attacks of the enemy. The mending room allows us to reflect on our own selfish approaches and fleshly desires that lead us in the wrong direction. It seems like a lot, however not allowing restoration of mind and thought process can lead to a spiraling downfall. As believers we must operate in God’s strategic plan to walk in victory. The enemy is very deceptive and cunning in his approach, Satan approach will often appeal to our fleshly desires. God’s approach will be in alignment with His word and nothing less. God does not cut corners, although Satan does. Every illegal move that the enemy entices you to take, will be the very thing he use to trap you.

My Moments of Confessions:

Lord you are the door keeper of my soul, the rock of my strength, the light to my path, my way maker and defense! Uncover every assignment of the enemy. Let every deceitful motive be exposed. Unravel the bands of every lie that has constricted me from the knowledge of your wisdom and truth. Give me understanding of my own desires that cause me to be lured out of your alignment. Every imperfect thought, desire or motive that is within me, I repent and denounce my involvement. Mend the wounds of my soul and revive me in battle. Lord, lend me your ear and hear my confessions and release your mighty hand to deliver me. I will be satisfied by the fruit of my mouth, let the produce of my lips fill me. My tongue has the power to produce life and today I will eat from the fruit of my confessions.
